Framing Methods: Pole framing

This method requires large structural posts embedded in the ground or anchored to a foundation, with horizontal girts and trusses supporting the structure. This method is extremely strong, efficient, and often more cost-effective for larger buildings such as shops, barns, and storage structures because it requires fewer materials and less foundation work. Both methods are excellent construction options depending on the building’s purpose, budget, and design.
